The Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease in rabbits has now been reported in New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, and Colorado.

There have been no reports of it in Arkansas or Oklahoma.

The disease is considered a Foreign Animal disease and is reportable to state and federal animal disease control authorities.

The death rate is close to 100% in domestic and wild rabbits and it is spread via body excretions. No approved vaccine or treatment is available.

Biosecurity practices can be used to help prevent the disease in domestic rabbits. Please review these documents if you're involved in rabbit production.

I have attached links to two USDA information sheets for your information.
