When it comes to membership, the easier you make it for families to join, the more likely they are to say YES! Here are three simple ways to keep your invitation to join front and center:

📣 Use every communication channel. Share your invitation through emails, texts, newsletters, flyers, banners, school marquees and social media. And always include a direct link to your PTA membership page or form!

🙋 Ask in person, all year long. Make membership part of every PTA and school event—virtual, in-person or drive-thru. A simple, personal invitation can go a long way!

💻 Add a “Join PTA” button. Make membership easy to find by adding a Join PTA button or link to all your online event registrations and volunteer sign-ups.

Remember: If it’s easy to join, it’s easier to say YES!

LAST CHANCE to get in on the Givebacks training for all PA PTA presidents, membership chairs & treasurers taking place at 7 pm TOMORROW - Thursday 6/26 - BUT you MUST register by 11:59 pm TONIGHT! Anyone who registers will get the link to the Zoom session early tomorrow morning. The PA PTA is using Givebacks to collect all compliance pieces for good standing this year. We will accept officer lists, members, audits & 990s ONLY through Givebacks. We will assist any units that do not have a Stripe account yet to set one up so you can submit your dues through Givebacks too. as well.

Looking forward to training with all who sign up. We plan to cover the basics through fundraising, such as signing in, selling memberships & emails to name a few, as time permits.

Just a reminder that registration is open for the PA PTA in-person state convention on Saturday, April 18, in State College. Please remember that it’s DEFINITELY an acceptable use of your PTA’s funds to send your leaders to training! All members should have received the eblast provided in the link below. If you didn’t receive it - and check your spam folder too - that means that we do not have your email address & you’re missing out on any & all important information shared by your state Board of Directors!

There’s still time to get the Early Bird Discount for your registration for the National PTA Convention in Pittsburgh in June. Attending the National Convention is a wonderful experience & you won’t be able to do that in (or ever near) our home state of PA for MANY years! Please understand that it’s a legitimate use of your PTA funds to send your leaders for training. We encourage ALL PTAs to have a line item for Training in your budgets AND to allocate a decent amount of your funds for this VERY important expense! A reminder about our in-person state convention on 4/17-19 is coming next!
