What a night! 🍷🌅

Last night, the Pennsylvania Wine Society set sail on the Pride of the Susquehanna for a sold-out Rosé Cruise, and Mother Nature delivered one of the most spectacular sunsets we’ve ever seen on the Susquehanna River.

Members enjoyed seven outstanding rosé wines from France, Spain, Austria, Washington, New York’s Finger Lakes, and a sparkling rosé from Spain, paired with delicious hors d’oeuvres from Savory Occasions. From the Caprese skewers and smoked salmon crostini to the bacon-wrapped scallops and mini cheesecakes, the food was every bit as impressive as the wine.

The evening was filled with great conversation, new friendships, plenty of laughter, and a beautiful backdrop as we cruised through the heart of Harrisburg. Events like this are a wonderful reminder that wine is about much more than what’s in the glass. It’s about the people you share it with.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, our volunteers who helped make the evening possible, and the crew of the Pride of the Susquehanna for another fantastic experience.

Judging by the smiles, the glowing sunset, and the sold-out crowd, this may have been one of our favorite summer events yet!

🍷 Sunday Wine Funday 🍷

Some Sundays call for a little something special.

Tonight’s pour: Overture, the elegant sibling to the legendary Opus One Winery. Rich layers of dark fruit, cocoa, espresso, and silky tannins make this Napa Valley blend a perfect way to wind down the weekend.

The best part of wine isn’t always what’s in the glass. It’s slowing down, reflecting on the week behind you, and looking forward to what’s next.

What’s everyone enjoying this Sunday evening? 🍷👇

🚨 Last Call to Climb Aboard! 🍷🌅🚨⚓️

There’s still time to grab your ticket for one of the most unique summer wine events in Central PA! Join the Pennsylvania Wine Society on Friday, June 12 from 7–9 p.m. as we set sail aboard the Pride of the Susquehanna for an evening of rosé, sparkling wine, incredible food, river views, and great company.

Relax inside on the enclosed lower deck or head upstairs for sunset views over the Susquehanna as we cruise past the Harrisburg skyline and local wildlife. Sunset is at 8:36 p.m., which feels suspiciously perfect with a glass of rosé in hand.

🍷 Featured Wines Include:
• Muga Rosado Rioja 2024
• Bargemone Rosé Provence 2025
• Barnard Griffin Rosé of Sangiovese 2024
• Apollos Praise Dry Rosé 2024
• Turk Rosé Blauen Zweigelt 2024
• E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône Rosé 2022
• Juve Y Camps Brut Rosé Cava NV

Basically: France, Spain, Austria, Washington State, Finger Lakes… your passport is working overtime.

🍴 Catered by Savory Occasions with hors d’oeuvres including:
• Bacon-Wrapped Scallops
• Smoked Salmon Crostini
• Caprese Skewers
• Pineapple Habanero Ham Balls
• Fresh Berry Mini Cheesecakes

Wine, sunset, scallops, sparkling rosé, and a riverboat. If that doesn’t sound like summer, I don’t know what does.

Limited seats. Limited time to register.

This Friday, the Pennsylvania Wine Society invites you to Pinot Noir, Simply Elegant, an evening dedicated to one of the wine world’s most captivating varietals.

Explore a premium lineup of Pinot Noir wines from legendary regions including Burgundy, Willamette Valley, Sonoma Coast, Tasmania, Champagne, New Zealand, and more, alongside gourmet small plates prepared by the Hilton Harrisburg culinary team. The evening will be guided by one of our most popular presenters, sommelier and wine educator Kevin Ostrowski.

Pinot Noir is famously known as the “heartbreak grape” because it’s so difficult to grow and perfect. But when it’s done well, few wines can match its elegance, complexity, and ability to reflect terroir.

Our Pinot Noir tastings are always among our fastest-selling events, and this one is nearly full.

Join us this Friday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at the Hilton Harrisburg.

Reserve your seat now before registration closes: https://pawinesociety.org/event-calendar/pinot-noir-simply-elegant/

Limited seats remain for next Friday’s Pennsylvania Wine Society event: Pinot Noir, Simply Elegant.

Join us on May 15 at the Hilton Harrisburg for an unforgettable evening exploring one of the world’s most captivating grape varietals through a lineup of premium Pinot Noir wines from around the globe. From Burgundy and Willamette Valley to Tasmania, New Zealand, Argentina, Champagne, Sancerre, and Germany, this tasting showcases just how versatile and expressive Pinot Noir can be.

Guided by one of our most popular presenters, certified wine judge and sommelier Kevin Ostrowski, guests will experience a range of styles including red, white, rosé, and sparkling Pinot Noir, all thoughtfully paired with gourmet small plates prepared by the Hilton chefs:

• Burrata with Macerated Strawberries, Arugula, Toasted Pistachios, Balsamic Glaze & Basil
• Wild Mushroom & Gruyere Arancini with Caramelized Leeks & Truffle Oil
• Seared Salmon with Cherry Wine Reduction on Fingerling Chips

Pinot Noir is often called the “heartbreak grape” because it’s notoriously difficult to grow and produce well. But when it’s done right? Pure magic in a glass.

Our Pinot Noir events are always among our most popular and this premium lineup is close to selling out. Don’t wait until you’re staring sadly into a lonely glass of grocery store Pinot next Friday night.

One week from today… we’re heading to Napa Valley without leaving Harrisburg 🍷

On April 24, we welcome Honig Vineyard & Winery President Michael Honig for an evening centered on Rutherford, one of Napa’s most distinctive terroirs.

This is not a casual tasting. It’s a guided look at how place shapes wine, with a lineup that moves from Sauvignon Blanc through late harvest and into multiple Cabernet expressions, including vineyard-designate wines.

And yes… the cheese pairings are dialed in.

If you’ve been thinking about it, now’s the moment. This one will close out.

And because we don’t sit still for long…

May is already on deck: Pinot Noir, simply elegant.

A completely different lens. Lighter, nuanced, and all about finesse. If Honig is power and place, this is restraint and precision.

If you love Pinot, or think you don’t, this is the one that changes your mind.
