Pasa Sustainable Agriculture

Pasa Sustainable Agriculture Cultivating environmentally sound, economically viable, and community-focused farms and food systems.

We’re a Pennsylvania-based sustainable agriculture association founded in 1992 with members in every state, primarily working in the US Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. We work to cultivate environmentally sound, economically viable, and community-focused farms and food systems through education, research, policy, and marketing initiatives. We coordinate year-round workshops and events, administer form

al farming apprenticeships, and facilitate research that empowers farmers with data they value. We also work to foster productive connections between farmers, community members, local businesses, policymakers, and other stakeholders. Our annual Sustainable Agriculture Conference draws people from all sectors of the food system for intensive learning on a wide range of food and farming topics.

Fruit farmers need your help. 🍎

In just three nights, the April freeze devastated fruit crops across Pennsylvania, leaving dead blossoms, damaged trees, and an estimated $200 million in losses.

Pennsylvania fruit farmers feed our communities, support local economies, and steward our farmland. Now they need us to stand with them.

Governor Shapiro has requested $20 million in emergency assistance for Pennsylvania fruit growers and processors, but lawmakers need to hear that this support is both essential and urgent.

Take a few minutes today to contact your state Senator and Representative and ask them to support emergency relief funding for Pennsylvania's fruit industry. 📣 🌱

Show your support by signing on to this letter: https://actionnetwork.org/letters/support-emergency-relief-funding-for-pennsylvania-growers?source=direct_link&.
