Good afternoon Friend of the Forest,

Join Manada Conservancy and Dauphin County Woodland Owners Association for the annual Walk in Penn's Woods on October 5th at 1:00! This year's Walk will take place at State Forester Seth Cassell’s property near Halifax, Pennsylvania. Hikers will walk 1-2 miles through both woodland and meadow with discussion centering around healthy forestry, wildlife management, invasive species control, maple sugaring activities, and government cost-share opportunities available in PA.

Both Seth and DCNR Service Forester Andy Brought will lead discussion during the walk; with the possibility of a Manada Conservancy naturalist joining us as well.

Meet at Seth’s house at 563 Mountain House Road, Halifax a few minutes before 1:00pm. Parking will be labeled in meadow area beside Seth’s house. Sturdy shoes and comfortable hiking clothes are recommended.

I hope to see you there!
