Troop 171 will be holding our 6th Annual Egg My Yard fundraiser! Back by popular demand, we have both the 50 egg option for $30, along with our standard 100 egg option for $50. Help us raise money to go to Tomahawk Scout Camp in July!
As usual, we will be hiding eggs on Saturday evening, April 4th so you can wake up Sunday morning to an Easter Egg hunt. We can usually accommodate special requests as well, such as special dates or times of delivery if needed. We work with specific allergy requests, level of difficulty in hiding eggs (for those older or younger kids), specific yard areas as well. Any questions, please contact us at [email protected]. If you do not need your yard egged and still want to support the troop, we also have a link to donate. We also donate a yard egging to a family in need and are looking for nominations - please email us if you would like to recommend a family in need.

Last night we went for a 10 mile bike ride to the Falls and back.

Last weekend some of our troop went to the fall Order of the Arrow Conclave. Two of our members were selected to do their Ordeal, and 3 were there to advance to Brotherhood. We have 100% participation from those eligible for OA which is 2/3rds of our troop!!! Lots of service projects were completed at Iyataka! Bonus, on the way back home we found our trailers missing fender that blew off when we blew the tire on our way back from scout camp.

This year 171 returned to Many Point Scout Camp in July. We had a blast learning new skills, earning lots of merit badges, doing some high adventures staying overnight in a tree house and a raft in the middle of the lake, and together worked on leadership skills and teamwork doing their DELTA training. We did some rifle shooting, climbing, cooking, sailing, canoeing, and lots of 9 square and Ga-ga ball. We did a fantastic job keeping our campsite clean so the bears stayed away and kept to the garbage dumpsters about 100 feet from camp. Excited to start planning where the scouts want to go next summer!
