The On30 Modelers Association was formed nearly 10 years ago. It has been inactive all of this time but over the past several months we have formed a board, an anonymous board, consisting of seven members. Our first official function will be the nomination of the inaugural recipient of the Annual On30 Modelers Association "Lifetime Achievement Award" The 2023 award will be announced and presented later this year. Going forward, the award will be presented each year at the Harrisburg Narrow O Summer Meet held the second weekend of June each year in Harrisburg, Pa.
This year's recipient was nominated and chosen by the board members. Future recipients, that meet the guideline requirements, can be nominated by any On30 modeler who following the associations page here on Facebook. Basic guidelines for nomination are shown in the photo. In order to be considered an On30 modeler must qualify in at least 3 of the 6 listed categories. Their accomplishments in these categories should be well known and recognized without research or documentation.
Each year the recipient chosen by the board will be awarded a plaque along with other items through the association or donated items such as gift cards or other On30 related modeling supplies.
The association is fully funded by donations from modelers like yourself as well as vendors and manufacturers. Look for the donation jar at future On30 or narrow gauge meets. Donations can also be made via PayPal by contacting Al Judy.
