In October 2024, the Harrisburg Area Food Pantry has reached an unprecedented milestone—serving over 4,900 individuals in a single month. This reflects not only the tremendous need in our community but also the ongoing challenges many families face due to economic uncertainty.

💙 How You Can Help:
- Monetary Donations: Your dollars stretch the furthest, allowing us to purchase food and supplies through partnerships like the Central PA Food Bank. We can accept donations online as well as in-person via cash or check.
- In-Kind Donations: We also welcome non-perishable food items and personal care products. Visit our website for a list of the most in-demand items.

Happy Thanksgiving from HAFP! 🍂🦃

As we gather for warm, home-cooked meals this Thanksgiving, it’s important to remember that many in our own community are struggling to put food on the table. Every dollar donated to the Harrisburg Area Food Pantry makes a tangible impact to those in our community:

💵 $25 provides emergency food assistance for two people.
💵 $50 provides an emergency supply of food for a family of four.
💵 $200 ensures four local families don’t go hungry.

As we continue to serve a high volume of neighbors in need, we ask for you help in filling a volunteer slot.

Currently, we have openings this week, including Saturday. There are also a bunch of opportunities throughout this month and next.

If you haven't already, we'd love to show you our new location at 2135 N. 6th St. inside the Camp Curtin YMCA (Ample parking is available behind the building and can be accessed by turning on Woodbine St.)

What an amazing day celebrating our new location and collaboration with tthe Camp Curtin YMCA. Together, we blend our mission of service to our neighbors who face food insecurities.

Staffed by our amazing volunteers, we are open Monday-Friday 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM; 5 days a week and the 3rd Saturday of the month.
