Public health and safety MUST come first.

Community members and environmental organizations are urging regulators to deny the Draft State-Only Operating Permit for the MarkWest Harmon Creek Natural Gas Processing Plant until the plant can demonstrate consistent compliance with air pollution laws and stronger safeguards are put in place.

This issue raises broader concerns about outdated emissions estimates, missing monitoring requirements, and unaddressed safety risks, especially in a community that has already experienced a major gas plant explosion and fire.
