The Women of Steel along with so many, mourn the passing of our beloved Sister Vonda a true labor giant whose unwavering strength, courageous leadership, and steadfast commitment to working families left an unforgettable mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sister Vonda was more than a union sister; she was a mentor, an advocate, and an inspiration. She fought tirelessly for justice, fairness, dignity, and the rights of workers, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations of labor leaders.
Our hearts and prayers are with her family, friends, and all of our union brothers and sisters during this difficult time. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit, determination, and dedication will forever live on in the work we continue to do.
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant... enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." (Matthew 25:23)
May her memory continue to inspire strength, unity, and service throughout the labor movement.
Rest in power, Sister Vonda. Your labor was not in vain, and your legacy will never be forgotten.
In Solidarity,
