Eastcentral AHEC is offering “Bridging Pathways to Oral Health” on June 11, 2026, 8:00am-4:00pm at Northampton Community College Fowler Center, 511 East Third Street, Bethlehem, PA 18105. This event is open to the public with curriculum geared toward homeschool students ages 14-18 in the Northampton/Lehigh Valley area. ​​​​Bridging Pathways to Oral Health is an immersive, community-based initiative designed to increase awareness of oral health careers and support early career exploration among students. Researchers from the University of Florida College of Dentistry are conducting a "Dental-Child Interaction Training" and looking for dental providers to participate. This study will span a year or more and staff will be compensated for participation.

PCOH advocated for improved access to oral health at both the state and federal levels this week. Helen participated in the 2026 Rural Pennsylvania Legislatice Briefing hosted by Majority Chairs Rep. Dan Frankel and Senator Michele Brooks, as well as Minority Chairs PA State Rep. Kathy Rapp and Senator Art Haywood.

Meanwhile, Nicole and other advocates met with several congressional offices during OPEN Hill Day in Washington, D.C.
