Fyi!

It is with a great deal of sadness that the City of Harrington announces the cancelation of the 48th Annual Harrington Heritage Day, scheduled for Aug 22, 2026. With the forecast of severe thunderstorms and locally heavy rains, the city must consider everyone's safety as our top priority.

However the library still plans on having some inside fun for the kids so check them out!!!!

With so many other events in our area over the next several weeks, a rain date is not possible.

For our vendors, we have options as far as the money paid for your space. Please contact us at [email protected]

We thank you for choosing to spend the day with us and hope to see you at more of our events!

Great Job to all of our 4-H club members. Was an awesome 2026 fair week! You all should be very proud of your hard work the 10 days of fair. Keep up the good work! Congratulations to everyone.

Reminder to all 4-H members and leaders, that tonight is another night for our club to ride on the fair float tonight (July 27) in the parade. Line up is on the side of the 4-H Building. Please arrive between 6:30 and 6:45pm. The parade will start at 7pm. Please wear a 4-H Club Shirt or a green shirt if you have one.

Horticulture Judging was 2nd Place- Madison Abbott
Clothing Judging was 2nd Place- Taylor Abbott and 6th Place- Kimberly Abbott

Congratulations Alexis Starke!

Today's Senior Spotlight is on Alexis Starke of the Harrington Sunshine 4-H Club. During her time in 4-H she has done many different project books. Some of the books were: sewing, favorite foods, crafts. her favorite project group is Favorite foods. she showed Amy Reed's horses in competition when she was six and seven years old. She was treasurer for her club for 4 years. Every year while being in 4-H she has put items in the Delaware State Fair. She went to day camp for a couple of years and then became a camp counselor. She is also in the 4-H Exchange program.
