What a great evening at our annual Harriman Rotary Club social at Tri Dog Brewing Company! 🍻🎉

From a little friendly bingo competition to lots of laughs and great conversations, it was the perfect opportunity to step away from our busy schedules and simply enjoy spending time together. Rotary is about service, but it’s also about fellowship, and nights like this remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such an incredible group of people.

Thank you to everyone who came out, participated, and helped make the evening so much fun. We enjoyed connecting, building friendships, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way.

Here’s to another great year of serving our community together—and having a little fun while we do it! ❤️💙

The Harriman Utility Board proudly honored the Child Advocacy Center with a $3,500 donation — and the Rotary Club of Harriman was honored to match that gift.

Together, their contribution reflects what makes our community so special: local organizations stepping up, working together, and supporting the people and services that make a real difference.

The Child Advocacy Center provides important care, support, and advocacy for children and families, and we are grateful for the work they continue to do in our region.

A heartfelt thank you to Harriman Utility Board and the Rotary Club of Harriman for showing what community partnership looks like in action.

The Rotary Club of Harriman was proud to recognize Pam May, a fellow Rotarian and dedicated public servant at the Roane County Courthouse.

Pam works in Chancery Court, where her professionalism, kindness, and commitment to serving others make a meaningful difference every day. Her work may often happen behind the scenes, but it plays an important role in helping our local government serve the people of Roane County.

We are grateful for Pam’s heart for service, her dedication to our community, and the example she sets through both her work and her involvement in Rotary.

Thank you, Pam, for all you do for Roane County and the Rotary Club of Harriman.

Roane County Schools Spotlight

Dr. Breigh Warner Burns is a 1995 graduate of Roane County High School. Although she considers Kingston her hometown, she attended several schools throughout Roane County, including Midtown Elementary School, Bowers Elementary School, South Harriman Middle School, and Cherokee Middle School.

Growing up surrounded by animals at her father’s veterinary clinic, Dr. Burns developed a passion for animal healthcare early in life. During her senior year of high school, she realized veterinary medicine was the career path she wanted to pursue.

After graduation, she attended East Tennessee State University, where she enjoyed her time in Johnson City and danced with the ETSU Buccaneer Dance Team. Three years later, she was accepted into the veterinary program at University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2002, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and returned home to join her father’s small animal practice in Harriman.

Today, Animal Medical Center operates as a five-doctor, two-clinic small animal practice serving the community with locations in Harriman and Kingston. Dr. Burns is married to her husband, Darren, also a Roane County native, and together they have two daughters, Aubree and Cailyn. A possible third-generation veterinarian may already be in the making, as Aubree is currently a pre-veterinary major.

Last Thursday’s Rotary Club of Harriman meeting was truly something special. 💙

We had the absolute joy of welcoming the Bowers Sweethearts and the Hip-Hop Boyz, along with their incredible coach, Dawn Jenkins, who shared more about this amazing group and the positive impact they continue to make in our community.

Their performance was absolutely wonderful and filled the room with so much energy, joy, and heart. It was more than just a performance — it was a beautiful reflection of kindness, confidence, teamwork, and encouragement.

What we love most about the Sweethearts is what they stand for. They bring such a powerful message of kindness, positivity, and inclusion to our community, and that kind of light truly makes a difference. Their spirit is uplifting, their joy is contagious, and the positivity they spread reaches far beyond the stage.

A heartfelt thank you to Coach Jenkins for the love, leadership, and dedication she pours into these young people each day. And to the Bowers Sweethearts and Hip-Hop Boyz, thank you for reminding us all how powerful kindness and encouragement can be.

We absolutely love having you in our community and are so proud of the positivity you continue to bring to Harriman. 💙✨
