I saw where this was posted earlier really brings back memories. Things have changed a lot over those years traditions fading, people to busy, to much work, to far to go, etc. Stuff happens to many families that i never thought i would see happen to ours. But as a family grows it has to grown out. Watching the picture was great brought tears and laughs but if you listen to the song that is what made me think. I know people are busy and i know I'm kind of preaching to the choir but always remember what the meaning of Christmas is. It is not the parties gift and food. It is what happened that night in a barn in a manger. Just remembers traditions fade, family linger apart, and Life gets busy. Don't to busy to spread the word and don't let Christ fade in your life. I know the 12 kids didn't till the day they went to meet him in person.

Hey family! This is Haley and I know posting a video like this is definitely out of the ordinary and I’ve really prayed about when and how to get this message out. I have felt a burden from the Lord for about six months to share this with our family. Please feel free to share it with anyone else and after you watch the video, feel free to comment. I love y’all and I hope you’re having a great day!
(*also please excuse that I sort of look like a mess today and there’s a spill on my shirt! I’m an elementary school teacher and today is Halloween and I’ve been dressed as a xylophone all day and a student came up to hug me and spilled her drink on me! Ha ha! The life of an elementary school music teacher is never a dull moment! But I posted anyway because this isn’t about me!)😂🎶🤣

Cherovise Mashburn Bird, affectionately known as “Mama Bird” or “Granny,” passed away peacefully at her home in Harpersville, Alabama, on August 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Cherovise was the heart of her community, known far and wide as one of the most welcoming and loving ladies you could ever meet — and one who could cook for an entire county. For over 20 years, she served the faculty and students of Vincent Schools in the lunchroom where she fed countless students, never turning anyone away, even if they had no money. Her home-cooked meals were so renowned that county employees would drive just to eat in her lunchroom. Even years later, people across the community still ask about Mrs. Bird, remembering her as the best cook who made the most unforgettable rolls and cookies.
Her selfless spirit made everyone feel special. Cherovise loved giving gifts, and her family was her greatest joy. She attended every event possible for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, her eyes lighting up with pride as she watched them fulfill their dreams. Her home was always warm and welcoming, with food ready for anyone who visited. She loved camping, gardening, and yard sales, and she lived by the words of 1 John 4:19: “We love because He first loved us.”
Cherovise’s quick wit and joyful personality never faded. Even at 90 years old, she loved to make people laugh, her radiant smile brightening every room. She had a gift for making everyone feel included and special. Heaven is sweeter today because she is there. She often shared her faith, making it known that her name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and she prayed that all would be able to say the same. In her home, a preacher’s voice and Gospel music were always present, reflecting the deep faith that guided her life.
Cherovise will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Everyone who crossed her path is better for having done so.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Harpersville. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Mr. Adam Spates and Rev. Matthew Britt will be presiding. She will be laid to rest at Harpersville City Cemetery.
