Great fun yesterday at the Friends of the Harpersfield Christmas event!
There was so much snow this year we weren't able to hold the event in the park, but thanks to our township trustees and a flexible team, we were able to relocate and celebrate anyway!
Thank you to all those who came out in the cold to join in the fun! ❄️🎄❄️

REMINDER: The Harpersfield Covered Bridge is open, so our bridge will be part of the Covered Bridge Festival this year!
The festival will be held on Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th, from 10 am - 5 pm on the NORTH side of the park.
Contact Denise at 440-994-4784 if you'd like to set up a table/booth at the Harpersfield Covered Bridge to sell your handmade crafts, farmer's market items, photography, etc.
The cost for a space is only $20 total for the whole weekend! Denise will collect the money Saturday morning for both days.
Each space is approximately 10'x10'. Spaces are not assigned. Simply arrive a little early to find your perfect spot and be ready for visitors by 10 am. I anticipate a big draw to our bridge this year since it's newly renovated!
You must bring your own table(s) and pop-up tent, if desired, as they are not provided by the festival committee. Also, there is no electrical power available.
Can't wait to see you there!

History of the Friends The “Friends” group was formed based on a need, and desire, to protect our park from repeated damage caused by vandals in 2010. We, a volunteer group of people in the community, came together not only to protect the park, but also help maintain, and enhance this beautiful gem of a park we have sitting alongside the Grand River right here in Harpersfield.
What we do The “Friends” work under the direction, and seek approval from, the Ashtabula County Metro parks Board for all we do to protect, preserve, and improve the park. We hold monthly meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, to discuss the needs of the park, plan fundraisers, and schedule work sessions at the park to keep the park clean, safe and in good working order. We host several family-centered fundraiser events each year to generate the funds for the work we do to maintain, and make improvements to the park.
Why we do this We do this for everyone in our community, and all those who visit our park. We want everyone who visits, to have a great time while they’re at the park, and leave with a memory that stays with them forever. There’s a lot of heart in Harpersfield, and this, is one of the many reasons why!
