Appalachian Trail Communities We will build partnerships to protect the experience of the Appalachian Trail and to enrich the quality of life in trailside communities.

The AT Community™ program promotes community partnerships along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, cultivates community pride, builds interest in the Trail, supports sustainable economic development, and engages communities in conservation. We support local economies by providing resources, training and communication among a network of designated communities. Through the growth of sustainable

outdoor recreation, the program supports stewardship and advances wellness to a diverse family of users while expanding awareness about the Trail as a vital asset.
