Hollow Gatherings will be held on 144 acres of land that has been in my family since my grandfather bought it in the mid 1940s. Over the years, the fields of have been a home of hundreds of ponies, horses, and cattle as well as crops such as wheat, soybeans, and corn. The hooting owls of the morning gave this beautiful piece of land its name. A few weeks ago, Kristen and I, began thinking of ways
to use reuse this retired farm land and we've been putting our all into it ever since. The goal of these gatherings is to share knowledge, craftsmanship, movement, and life battles as well as all it's glory, in an encouraging environment that flourishes geniune beauty. We will be offering beginners yoga, gypsy weavin', juicing, raw food goodness, handcrafting medicinals, drum circles, and so much more! We will also be holding traditional sweat lodges in handcrafted wickiups. Sweat Lodges are of Native American tradition and are used to detox the mind, body, and spirit. Mental and spiritual healing consists of freeing minds from distraction and offering clarity while physical benefits can be astounding with healing infectious wounds all the way to diseases such as insomnia. Everyone participating in the sweat is asked to bring a dish for the feast held after the sweat. Our sweat lodges will be donation based and the proceeds will go to a different charity for each gathering. The first charity we will be recognizing is "Meals on Wheels" in honor of my grandmother, who receives their service. Our first gathering, "The Birth of Owl Hollow", is booked. The next gathering TBA but will be held in April. Follow us as Owl Hollow continues to grow and join us for upcoming gatherings, events, and volunteering opportunities! We are so grateful for all your love & support!!
