The Resilient Warriors who live on-site at the apartment complex, all participated and contributed in some form to having a successful community garage sale plus all proceeds went to the Resilient Warriors.

The Veterans and the local community donated items, working at the sale, setting up and tearing down the leftovers and giving the proceeds to the Resilient Warriors supports our programs. This was a good time for the veterans to give back as well. We earned enough to support our Veterans Day celebration, Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas celebration dinner.

Our locals and past veterans stopped in and donated items to sale as well. So we all thank everyone who supported the Resilient Warriors. I am in need of sponsors this year for Christmas for my veterans. If interested please reach out and message me and thank you for any support.

Whats Happening in Harper Kansas this week?
Our Resilient Warriors have been cleaning and sorting and getting ready for a Community Sale.
We have a lot of good treasures. If you are close to Harper come see us. All proceeds will be donated to our Veterans. I want to thank our veterans who has lived here in the past and is faithful to give back. We appreciate you and we love you!

The year has flown by rapidly! We celebrated the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The resilient warrior veterans gathered to mark the occasion with a barbecue dinner and were honored with hats and t-shirts. The gathering was a great success, and we are grateful for your support of our veterans.

Dec 23, 2025 Christmas highlights for the Resilient Warriors in Harper, Kansas. Many thanks to our sponsors and supporters to help make our Christmas for the Resilient Warriors a blessing this year. We had tenant/maintenance person volunteer to cook our steaks on a grill donated to the veterans by a tenant. We had one sponsor who sponsored 3 veterans.

Everyone enjoyed a ribeye steak dinner, with cream cheese corn, baked potatoes and sweet potatoes, green beans and cake. All the veterans were excited about the party and happy with all their gifts. We have a monthly crafters group for spouses of the veterans and tenants that donated material and made our Veterans blankets. Gifts for our music program included microphones so we could sing karaoke. And bags of vegetable seeds for our 2026 garden. Each veteran also recieved new bed pillows too.
We all had a nice evening and everything was very much appreciated. Some gifts included long underwear, hats, a coat, curio cabinet, long sleeve shirts, house slippers, wall decor, and many other gifts as well. Again thank you to all who support the Resilient Warriors in Harper, Kansas. I love my job and love each veteran! Thank you for supporting our program.
