Harmony Area Community Foundation

Harmony Area Community Foundation The Harmony Area Community Foundation was established in 2012 by residents dedicated to improving Harmony's quality of life.

We are under the umbrella of the Southern MN Initiative Foundation and exist to support our community through grant opportunities. HACF received its "seed" money from the former Trust for a Better Harmony, which was instrumental in building the Harmony-Preston bike trail and other large community projects. The trust has received several generous donations over the years - HACF is proud of this legacy and is excited to carry this torch forward!

Tonight, many of our Harmony residents, board members, and local business owners had the opportunity to join the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation in Fairbault to celebrate their 40th Anniversary.🎉

The theme, Honoring the Past, Building Tomorrow, truly hit home.
It was an evening filled with meaningful conversations about why we love where we live and what continues to drive us to move the needle forward in our community.

When you bring together people who care deeply about their towns, the energy is undeniable.
A special moment for us was reflecting on the impact of past leaders, including Vicky & Tim Penny, whose dedication and vision helped lay the foundation for so much of what we continue to build on today!

We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up, supports one another, and continues to invest in its future.

What an incredible night…

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Swing Into Spring fundraiser. From the energy in the room to the generosity shown, it was truly something special.
The auctions were a hit, the food was delicious, and our speakers left us feeling inspired and proud of what we’re building together.

We simply couldn’t do this without the support of our amazing community. From the bottom of our hearts… thank you! 🙏

Yesterday, I had the privilege of visiting the Fillmore Central Elementary school to see the new rock wall that we were honored to help fund through your generous donations to the HACF.
Watching the students climb and laugh was such a joy—one little boy even exclaimed, “That rock wall is the coolest thing ever!” It was the perfect indoor activity for a chilly, rainy day.
A heartfelt thank-you to the incredible FC staff for all their hard work bringing this project to life. Your dedication truly shows. Even the adults couldn’t resist giving it a try— Mr. Peters, taking on the wall!
