Harlingen HS Cardinal Vanguard Theatre & Speech

10/09/2026

Seeing our show tonight? Due to our homecoming parade, parking is suggested behind the school by the tennis courts! Marshall is closed off but you can park and walk through the west gate!

Cardinal Vanguard Theatre is proud to present the FIRST-EVER production in the Harlingen HS Studio Theatre!

Sarah DeLappe’s THE WOLVES.

Nine teenage girls. One indoor soccer team. And forty minutes before the whistle blows.

As The Wolves warm up for their games, their conversations move at full speed: college, relationships, politics, growing up, and everything they’re not quite ready to say out loud. Beneath the jokes, arguments, and competition is a story about girlhood, friendship, loss, and what it means to be part of a team.

This production also marks the beginning of something NEW for Cardinal Vanguard Theatre. Our Studio Theatre creates an intimate, up-close theatrical experience, putting the audience just feet away from the action.

⚠️ SEATING IS EXTREMELY LIMITED.

With only a small number of seats available each night, we strongly encourage audiences to arrive early.

📅 October 7 | 7:00 PM October 8 | 7:30 PM
📍 Harlingen HS Studio Theatre — Performing Arts Building
🎟️ Adults $10 | Students $5

Come experience the production that opens a brand-new chapter for Cardinal Vanguard Theatre.
The field is set. The Wolves are ready. 🐺⚽

We are the 2026 UIL 6A One-Act Play STATE CHAMPIONS!

With Mojada: A Medea in East L.A., these students carried the stories of sacrifice, identity, family, survival, and resilience onto the biggest stage in Texas theatre. This production was deeply personal to so many of us because it was rooted in culture, struggle, love, and the feeling of trying to belong while still holding onto where you come from.

This wasn’t just a performance, It was our love letter to our gente! To the generations before us, our grandparents, who or guardian angels who have all sacrificed everything so that we could have this opportunity.

And now… Harlingen High School has brought home its FIRST UIL One-Act Play State Championship!

Thank you to our parents, alumni, administration, designers, musicians, technicians, and every single person who believed in these kids. Your support helped carry us here!!

To our cast and crew:
You did not shrink yourselves to fit the stage, you filled it loud and proud!
