As we look back on this year, our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude and awe for all that God has done. Despite many battles faced in the mission field, we have seen incredible victories. From the two camps I oversee in Nicaragua, we witnessed an astonishing 26,917 salvations this year—an extraordinary testament to God’s faithfuln
ess. As we step into a new year, I want to share what God has been doing and invite you to join me in the work ahead. This past year has been one of both triumphs and challenges. In November, my beloved husband John went home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering dedication to the Gospel. While this has been a season of deep sorrow, it has also been a time of renewed reliance on God’s provision and faithfulness. I serve as a full-time missionary with Way of the Cross Ministry in Harlingen, Texas, and I am privileged to oversee two ministry base camps in Nicaragua, with a third camp being established in Guatemala. In 2025, I will lead 30 full-time Nicaraguan missionaries as we share the Gospel, feed the poor, and carry out construction projects in one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere. Nicaragua is incredibly open to the Gospel, and we continue to see lives transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. When I took the position as director in 2019, I felt God calling me to take the Gospel message across the nation. Each year, we’ve gone a little further. This past year, we partnered with pastors to reach the remote, mountainous regions of northwestern Nicaragua. We hiked miles up into the mountains, preaching, teaching, and equipping others for evangelism. Looking ahead to 2025, I pray for God’s heart, wisdom, direction, and open doors—for more connections, new territories, and greater opportunities to reach the lost. In Guatemala, I will oversee the construction of our new base camp and help establish the ministry’s work there, expanding our reach to yet another nation eager to hear the Gospel message. My daughters, Riley and Madison, live with me in Nicaragua. They are full-time college students, with Riley studying medicine and Madison studying psychology. Both are fluent in Spanish and assist in the ministry whenever they can. The cost of their education is affordable, and I am incredibly grateful that they can pursue their dreams while serving alongside me. Living by Faith
Prayer and ministry unto the Lord is my full-time occupation. I rely on financial support from partners for food, clothing, medical care, and other necessities. Your partnership allows me to dedicate 100% of my time to advancing the Kingdom of God. Through your generosity, you are not only providing for my family but also enabling the Gospel to be proclaimed through faithful witnesses. I am committed to living a life of simplicity and financial responsibility before the Lord, trusting Him for every need. When you give, you join hands with me to reach the nations for Christ. The Vision for 2025
This year, I am asking for financial commitments from those who feel led to support the ministry. Your giving will sustain my family and fuel the ministry’s efforts in Nicaragua and Guatemala. Together, we can share the Gospel, feed the hungry, and equip the Body of Christ for the work of the Kingdom. Since 1999, I have dedicated my life to serving the Lord on the mission field. I am passionate about prayer, evangelism, and proclaiming the glory of Jesus Christ. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us financially? Tax-deductible donations can be made to Way of the Cross Ministry/Theresa Spartz at 224 North F Street, Harlingen, TX 78550. Thank you for your prayers, your support, and your faithfulness to the Gospel. Together, we can proclaim Jesus Christ to the nations! With love and gratitude,
Theresa Spartz
