There’s something special about welcoming someone back who has already been part of our volunteer family. 💙

After several years away, we were so happy to see Taylor Blanton return to our volunteer program—and today was his first day back! He jumped right in as a lobby greeter, helping people find where they needed to go, running errands, and getting plenty of steps along the way. 😊

Taylor, thank you for sharing your time, kindness, and willingness to help wherever needed. We’re grateful that you chose to return and continue serving with us!💙

Last week our volunteers attended the TAHV District 3 meeting in Edinburg. Four longstanding Auxiliaries from the RGV came together to host this annual event, including Auxiliaries from VBMC Harlingen and Brownsville, South Texas Health System, McAllen/Edinburg, and Mission Regional Medical Center.
The meeting included sharing of ideas amongst District 3 Auxiliaries from the RGV to Corpus Christi, an informational program on PTSD, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and a delicious lunch.
It was a time of celebration and recognition for nearly 100 in attendance.
Thank you to all the volunteers who give freely of their time and talents to further the mission of their community hospitals. YOU ARE THE BEST and we couldn’t do what we do without you!!!❤️

❤️ 36 years of combined service. Countless lives touched. A legacy we will never forget.

After 18 years each of lovingly serving Valley Baptist, we celebrate two very special members of our family, Rich and Judy Bowers.

Rich faithfully served as a golf cart driver, while Judy shared her gifts through the Gift Shop, clerical service, and most recently as a lobby greeter. Both helped with special events such as the annual Neonatal Memorial butterfly release, and the Auxiliary’s $5 Jewelry sale. Wherever they served, they brought kindness, compassion, and a genuine heart for helping others.

For 18 years, they gave their time, their talents, and most importantly, their hearts. They have touched hundreds of lives and made Valley Baptist and our community a better place.

Rich and Judy, we love you dearly. We will miss seeing your familiar faces, but you will always be part of our Valley Baptist family.💙

Thank you for 36 beautiful years of combined service, love, and giving. May God richly bless you both in this next chapter.😇🙏
