THIS WEEK IN NON-PROFIT NEWS
🎳6th Annual Order of the Alhambra Bowling Tournament 🎳 benefiting special needs groups in the valley. Held at Galaxy Bowling Center in Brownsville, this year's event was extra special as we were honored to have Mayor John Cowen join us in support of special needs groups in our community.

Mayor Cowen's heartfelt words remind us all of the importance of community, inclusion, and compassion. His dedication to these values was evident in every word he spoke.

Thank you to the order of Alhambra, all the participants, volunteers, and supporters who made this event a striking success! Your contributions will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.

The Recovery Center of Cameron County is having a fundraiser at Main Event in Brownsville, TX on Aug 3rd. 20% of sales will be donated to the center so they can continue to help people deal with addictions. NPTV produces PSAs for non-profits throughout the year and airs them on our own public space network and Spectrum cable at a special low rate for non-profits.

We receive requests almost every day to help local non-profits promote events and awareness. Below is a sample "template" that helps simplify the process. Our venues are busy public locations, so having a clear easy to read message is important to communicate what you're trying to do. This format will use your current flyer or media (including short videos) along with event details in large text so audiences can see clearly how to participate. This has already proven effective as we have far fewer people calling asking for basic details.

We also cover live events as you see here in some of our posts, to really help showcase your event This is a real advantage the following year as a picture is worth a thousand words, but good video production is priceless.

If your non-profit 501c3 has an event and would like help getting the word out, we reach 50,000 people a day in the Rio Grande Valley. Email your info or call us for more information. We'll air your message free of charge up to 2 weeks prior to the day of the event.
