Dear Scouting Family,
As we approach Easter, we are reminded of God‘s plan and purpose. There are things happening in our lives that we feel we have no control over at the present time. It has made us feel fearful, anxious, worried and even depressed. It makes us realize how helpless we are and that we are not in control.
Easter is about the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. And as Paul and many of the other disciples learned, it was not easy to do God‘s will and plan. They were constantly battling difficult situations/ good v. bad. But one thing was clear – God was in control and he utilized these individuals to carry out his plan. It’s no different here today in our council. Even though we feel helpless, not in control we are making every effort to continue our message to work our message for the youth of our communities to commit to them that we are going forward in accordance to God‘s purpose and authority to carry out his plan for his Kingdom.
There is a lot of good taking place and happening in our Council. God is providing and he will continue to provide resourceful and innovative methods to carry out his plan for all youth and this Council.
Thank you everyone for your sincere efforts in keeping the Scouting movement moving forward during these difficult times. Thank you for stepping up in the FOS campaign!
God Bless You, your families, and our Rio Grande Council.
Yours in Scouting,
Manny Guerra
