Today marks 13 years since I lost Matt to he**in. I was honored to be able to place flowers in my church in his memory. Many of you know that yellow roses was his favorite flower. That's exactly what he received on this special day. A beautiful yellow rose bouquet.
Over the years I have been bless with the memories of Matt. In my dreams, sometimes I see him as clear as day. I'll see an image that looks like him in a shadow or in a cloud. Once in a while I feel his touch on my arm. This is how I know he is watching over me from his heavenly home.
I have been through many changes and challenges throughout the past 13 years. Some good, some bad. People have come into my life for a time, and then left. Each one buought joy and happiness to my heart, and then left me with pain and loneliness. There is only one relationship that is constant, and that is your relationship with Jesus. I have only a few people I call true friends, and you know who you are. That's called life on earth. I'm happy that Matt no longer has to deal with these earthy challenges. My God is his Father now and he is well cared for.
My prayer to you is this: "God, help me live the best life I can honoring Your will and praising Your name and believing in You always. Those who have lost a child too soon, my you find comfort that they are with Matt and God in the home He has prepared for us"
John 14, verse 3,4:
"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. [4] You know the way to the place where I am going."
