Smile for Shay Honoring the legacy of our amazing daughter. Her message that small acts of kindness will change the world lives on through all of us.

The Shaylin Elizabeth Foster Humanitarian Scholarship was created to recognize GTHS Warriors who improve their community through routine acts of kindness, compassion and empathy. Past Award Recipients

The scholarship process is initiated when a member of the faculty and staff of Grovetown High School nominates a student that they see creating a positive impact through their daily actions. While o

nly seniors are eligible for the award students can be nominated throughout their high school career. Once nominated the student will be instructed on how to complete the application process during their senior year. The student selected will be awarded a one time scholarship of two thousand dollars, which will be sent to their college following enrollment.

In honor of Shay’s 26th birthday, we are proud to kick off a book drive for our upcoming “Books for Shay” event.

What better way to celebrate Shay’s life and legacy than by giving the gift of reading to children in our community. Every book donated will go directly into the hands of a child, helping inspire imagination, learning, and opportunity.

🐾 Today we celebrate Mr. Rainge! We are proud to recognize Mr. Rainge along side many other Columbia County teachers who are completing their first year of teaching as rookies. The amount of care, compassion, resilience, and heart Mr. Rainge shows working with students every day shines brightly and brings smiles to many. We are looking for a few more volunteers for this Thursday the 7th from 3 until 6 PM at the HUB downtown for a books for Shay literacy event. We need people to help children pick out age appropriate books and serve pizza. Please let us know if you can volunteer some time. We are am official 501c3 so students needing hours can get credit for the time.
