In celebration of Black History Month and Harlem's resilience, Black Parade Harlem’s director will be holding his first solo gallery show NOTES FROM HARLEM on Feb.12-28, 2022 !

NOTES FROM HARLEM serves as a reminder of the journey we’ve experienced as a community. Amidst such devastating impact of two pandemics, these portraits affirm that we are a community standing in defiance, dignity and reliance.

We are thankful for Sekou’s heart & vision. His work captures the voices of Harlem while highlighting his skills with the lens!

Please join in celebrating this Saturday! For more information and tickets visit our link in bio!

HAPPY KWANZAA, Good People!
2022 is basically tomorrow…time to stretch and re-focus!

What is Kwanzaa?

Kwanzaa is an African-American and Pan-African, non-religious based, seven-day celebration of African roots, observed from December 26th through January 1st. Founded in 1966 by activist and educator Dr. Maulana Karenga, Kwanzaa is anchored by seven principles known as the Nguzo Saba which aims to inspire Black people to be united, self-determined, accountable for their communities, financially invested in Black-owned businesses, purposeful with their lives, creative and full of faith.

55 years after its birth and Kwanzaa still remains relevant. The principles should be understood, expanded upon, promoted, and lived year-round.
