🌧️ Forecast shows it raining during our hiking window, so we will just be meeting at the First Presbyterian Harlan Church this evening for our regularly scheduled meeting. We hope to see new faces there!

We’re heading to Camp Blanton during our regularly scheduled meeting time to hike, observe nature, and help clean up the trails a bit!

If anyone was looking to try out cub scouts for the first time (Kindergarten to fifth grade), now would be an excellent opportunity to do so and enjoy some nature!

🥾🎣 Pack 149 Meeting Reminder! 🎣🥾

We will be meeting tomorrow evening to go over hiking essentials and fishing essentials as we prepare for our outdoor adventures throughout the remainder of June!

Our scouts will be spending more time outdoors, and we want to make sure everyone is ready for the adventures ahead. Scouts should bring their hiking backpacks and tackle boxes (if they already have one prepared) so we can review what items are important to carry and discuss outdoor safety and preparedness.

During the meeting, we will:
✅ Review our planned adventures for June
✅ Discuss hiking and fishing gear essentials
✅ Make sure everyone is prepared for upcoming activities
✅ Collect all required medical forms
✅ Take up pack dues

Adventure season is here, and we can't wait to get outside and explore together! See everyone tomorrow as we get ready for a month full of fun, learning, and outdoor excitement!

🐾💙💛 Blue and Gold 2026 is officially in the books! 💛💙🐾

We are so proud of these scouts for working through their achievements this year and earning their new ranks! Their hard work, determination, and growth throughout the year truly made this a special celebration.

A huge thank you goes to Caleb Rose, Eagle Scout, for joining us during the ceremony and sharing about your Scouting journey and the impact it has had on your life. Stories like yours help open the eyes of these young scouts and inspire them to dream big for their own futures.

This year’s ceremony was especially meaningful as we celebrated the advancement of all of our scouts, along with a historic milestone for Pack 149 through our Arrow of Light achievement.

As we prepare for a new scouting year, be on the lookout for Pack 149 out in the community as we work to become even more involved and introduce more youth to the opportunities Scouting provides!

Programs like Scouting America help build well-rounded citizens, strong leaders, lasting friendships, and memories that young people will cherish for the rest of their lives.

🎣🌳🥾 As we look to wrap up another successful year of Cub Scouts, we look ahead even further. One of our Cub Scouts will be completing the last rank and needing to cross over to a Scout Troop. So with that, we’re looking to restart Troop 149!

If your child, girl or boy, has been interested in scouting, wants to experience the outdoors, or just wants the skills and recognition that comes with earning Eagle Scout, then come join us! Our charter organization, First Presbyterian Harlan wants to provide that opportunity for all kids in Harlan County! Greg Edens will be taking on the responsibilities of Scoutmaster, with the same committee of dedicated adults that have helped foster our Cub Scout program and kept it thriving!

Please feel free to message or call Greg Edens, if you have questions or are interested in providing meaningful life experiences for your child! We will hopefully see you on the trail soon!

Meeting tonight at 6 pm at First Presbyterian Church in Harlan. We will be going over some things for the upcoming Blue/Gold Ceremony, including how we present colors. We will get pictures, so everyone wear their Scout Uniforms, if you have one, with neckerchief and all.
