We’ve got a full and fun agenda this evening, so get ready!

No Cub Scouts this evening! Cub Scout Sunday will also be rescheduled from this weekend to Sunday February 15th so scouts can better prepare for the program and service.

The Canned Food drive will be extended until next Monday, February 9th. Bring all the collected canned goods to that meeting! We will work on our God and Me series, practice for Scout Sunday, and store our Canned Goods to deliver to the Mustard Seed one day next week!

🐻 Cub Scout Pack 149 – Meeting Recap 🐻
What a meaningful and fun meeting we had! As scouts arrived, they received their materials for the God and Me series, which we’ll be completing for an elective religious emblem. Tonight was just the introduction, so if your scout missed this meeting, no worries — they can still get caught up and earn their religious pin!

📖 We reflected on Matthew 19:13–15, discussing how children gathered around Jesus and how He blessed them. This helped set the tone for the series and reminded our scouts how deeply loved they are.

🎲 We also introduced the GAME Box, a special final project where scouts will create and collect games that explore God’s love for them. Each scout grabbed a shoebox and began decorating the cover in preparation for future lessons that will fill their box with creativity and faith.

🙏 The overarching activity of the night was beginning to learn the Lord’s Prayer. We recited it several times throughout the meeting and decided to begin ending our meetings with the Lord’s Prayer going forward.

📅 Next Meeting: We’ll meet again next Monday for Lesson 1 of the four-part series.

🥫 Canned Food Drive Alert!
We are kicking off a canned food drive this month in friendly competition with the UNITE clubs at Rosspoint Elementary. If you see our scouts out collecting, please check your pantries and consider donating a can or two so we can support a local food pantry and make a big impact together!

🧱 Enjoyed our Lego night! Sorry for the scouts we missed this evening! For those that were there, they built a vibrant little community neighborhood out legos! Our bags are packed and we’re ready to move in!

Reminder: No more scout meetings this month! Enjoy your time leading up to Christmas and take some extra time to do activities with your family. Build some memories.

Be prepared to return to our scouting adventures come January. We will start our religious series ✝️ and work towards earning an extra pen from Pray Publishing again this year!

🧱 Special makeup meeting this Thursday evening for all our little builders!

We will be meeting at our usual time, 6:00 PM, at our usual place, First Presbyterian Church in Harlan, just on a different evening!

Scouts will be completing a LEGO building challenge and getting awarded afterwards for a couple achievements completed over the last couple of months! We hope to see everyone there!

Congratulations to our Cub Scouts on a fantastic Pinewood Derby! 🏁🚗✨

What an awesome day of friendly competition, great sportsmanship, and pure fun. The creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm on display made this year’s race one to remember.

A big shoutout to all the scouts, families, and volunteers who helped make it happen—you brought the energy and the smiles.

🏁 Ready to see which scout brings home the trophy tomorrow!

Check-in/registration begins at 9:30 AM
Car Designs will be judged at 10:00 AM
Racing to begin following judging.

The races will be double elimination tournament style!

Anyone else is welcome to come check out the cars and watch these scouts race!
