Northeast Kingdom Warriors In 2023 the club was relocated to Hardwick. Currently the board consists of Michelle Delaney, Steve Fortmann, Elizabeth Stratton and Buffy Castro.

The club operates financially as part of the 501(3)c non-profit Hardwick Speed and Strength. The Northeast Kingdom Warrior Soccer Club is a non-profit, 100% volunteer run club dedicated to player development in a player focused environment. The club was started by local soccer coaches Michelle Delaney and Donna MacKinnon. Now the board consists of Michelle Delaney, Charlotte Rosendahl, Melissa Gar

dner, and Laura Martin. Michelle has played for 34 years, coached for 20 years. She holds a USSF level E and F coaching license and has completed the Coaching Principles Course through the National Federation Interscholastic Coaches Education Program. She is a USSF certified referee and had been an active referee for 10 years. Donna has coached youth from 4-18 years, in club and high school teams for 25 years. She holds two coaching licenses from FIFA, a Regional Diploma from National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA), and a high school coaching certification from Connecticut, and she has refereed for 15 years.

A century-old Vermont soccer rivalry is alive and well — and the NEK Warriors helped bring the cup home!

Great write-up in The Hardwick Gazette on this year’s PolyWhey Cup, where NEK Warriors players joined with Orleans County FC as Team Black River and earned a hard-fought 2–1 win over the Barre Stone Cutters.

Coaches from CF Valencia in Spain will lead a preseason training camp for players born in 2016 and older who want to sharpen their skills before the fall school season.

Join us Sunday, June 21 at 6:00 PM at Hazen Union Varsity Field as our Senior Girls team up with our neighbors to the north, OCFC, to take on the Barre StoneCutters in this special cup match.

The PolyWhey Cup, presented by Vermont Natural Coatings, celebrates a unique piece of Vermont soccer history. The rivalry between Barre and Hardwick is believed to be one of the earliest cross-town rivalries in Vermont soccer, dating back to the late 1800s and the era of Scottish stone cutters working in the granite industry.

From 1905–1914, teams from Barre and Hardwick played for the historic Scampini Cup — and this game honors that legacy while celebrating the continued growth of soccer in our communities.

Come cheer on our team, support our players, and learn more about the rich history connecting soccer, the granite industry, and the communities of Barre and Hardwick.

Last chance to register for spring soccer! We still have room for a handful of players:

Girls U14 (born 2012–2013) - 1–2 spots · Vermont Spring League D2/3

Girls U16/19 (born 2007-2011) - 1–2 spots · independent schedule, games late May & June

Boys U14 (born 2012–2013) - 3–4 spots · independent schedule, mostly training with limited games late May & June

U8 registration also remains open for our youngest players (born 2018–2020). Registration is free for players born in 2020.

NEK Warriors is a community youth soccer club serving families across the Northeast Kingdom. We're affordable and flexible. Club dues are only $60 and scholarships are available. We specifically try to limit travel and focus on player development.

Registration is now open for the Challenger International Soccer Camp coming to Craftsbury Common this summer in partnership with the NEK Warriors Soccer Club. The camp will run August 11–15 and is open to kids ages 2–12, with programs designed for a range of ages and experience levels.

Challenger Sports brings international coaches from around the world and focuses on building soccer skills in a fun, supportive environment while helping kids grow in teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship. Options include programs for younger children just getting started as well as camps for players who want to develop their skills.
