We did a small community service event today named Popsicles and Pick-Up. We ate popsicles as we picked up trash around campus.

With temps feeling like it was in triple digits, the popsicles were badly needed!

🚜 DRIVE YOUR TRACTOR TO SCHOOL DAY! 🚜

Tomorrow, Thursday, September 3rd, Franklin-Simpson FFA is celebrating FFA Rush Week with our annual Drive Your Tractor to School Day! 💙💛

🚨 COMMUNITY HEADS-UP: Our FFA members will be driving their tractors to McDonald’s (north end of town) early tomorrow morning, coming from different directions throughout the community. Then, at approximately 7:00 AM, we will have our tractor parade from McDonald’s to Franklin-Simpson High School along N. Main Street. 🚜

If you’ll be on the roads in the area early tomorrow morning, please be on the lookout for our high school FFA members on tractors and give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.

We are excited to celebrate FFA Rush Week with our members and appreciate our community’s continued support—and, most importantly, your commitment to keeping our students safe! 💙💛

Thank you for helping us make Drive Your Tractor to School Day a fun and SAFE FS FFA tradition! 🌾🚜

Drakes Creek Collective!

Our buddy Will Jones at Drakes Creek Collective decided he wanted to be part of the Annual FS FFA Bow Shoot this year by providing hats to the FIRST FIFTY shooters who sign in and register for our shoot August 29th!

Additionally, word on the street is that they may be chipping in on the Long-shot pot with a gift certificate! 😃

These hats are CLEAN and each are made with different logos for Drakes Creek Collective. Peep the matching FS FFA Emblems on the side.

Additionally, we plan to offer a known-yardage Hunter and Pro class where shooters may bring their own rangefinders. These classes cost $30.

Please share and tag your buddies!! We hope this shoot is the biggest yet!

As we head into the new school year we would like to check in on our budding flowers from last year!

During the last few days of school, FFA members went to Franklin Elementary and met with kindergarten classrooms for our second annual Sunflower Sendoff. FFA members taught kindergarteners how sunflowers grow and develop by reading a book to them and sending each student home with their own sunflower!

Just as the class of 2038 have undoubtedly grown over the summer, their flowers have grown with them, and we are excited to see how much they've grown!

We would love for you to send us pictures in the comments of your kiddos and their sunflowers!

Franklin-Simpson FFA’s 15th Annual Bow Shoot will take place August 29th at Jim Roberts Community Park.

Registration begins at 8:00 AM at Rotary #2 (near Ag. Building) and will conclude (awards and all) around noon.

Winners of each class will be awarded a 2’ tall trophy!!

We added some popular classes last year so we will be running it back with Known Range-Hunter’s class and a Known Range-Professional Class in addition to the other classes we have offered. These classes will cost $30 to shoot and you must bring your own rangefinder.

Our course will have over 30 targets!!

Additionally, we will have a long-shot contest at $5 a shot. So bring some extra cash if you’d like to earn some money!

Special thanks to our sponsors this year The Taxidermy Guy, Sexton Bin Builders, Meador Ag LLC, Elite Ag Services, Graves Tree Service, Drakes Creek Collective, and Elite Land Specialists for helping make this all happen!!

Please share this with your friends and hunting buddies! We hope to have our biggest bow shoot yet!

We enjoyed a pretty much perfect weather week at FFA LTC with a little rain on Friday but BIG news!

In the closing session, Cadence Henson was named as an Outstanding Leader! This is a distinction only the top 10% of the total numbers of campers receive and is the ONLY way to earn a State-Level Outstanding Leadership pin!

Additionally, FS FFA received a $500 grant from LTC to fund a service project taking place this year. Thanks to the generous funding provided by Carol Martin Gatton, we are able to put these funds to work in our community!

We are energized and looking forward to a GREAT year!
