I’ve seen what happens when faithful men trust God to provide — even with nothing but a bicycle and a Bible. Here's the story of Patrick in Malawi…

Patrick was one of our first Shepherds Academy students, and his passion for evangelism has only grown. After graduating, he moved to Mangochi, living in a village surrounded by mosques and churches that aren’t rooted in the gospel.

He baptized 5 men — and is intentionally reaching men first, knowing strong families start with strong men. His character? A real example of trusting God over material security, even when many pastors chase after money or status.

This is why our model focuses on biblical training, not handouts — it’s about building churches that stand on truth, not tricks or deceptive teachings. Pray for Patrick as he leads a church that can be a lighthouse in darkness.

God's Word is multiplying in Africa!

Just like Acts 12:24 says, 'But the word of God increased and multiplied' — we're seeing it happen right now in Malawi and Mozambique through Gospel Life!

Praise God for:
-Patrick Matope boldly planting a church in the Muslim-majority Mangochi district among the Yao people. This past Sunday, he baptized the first three men who believed the gospel in Lake Malombe — the start of a new gospel-preaching church! Pray for Patrick and his family as they settle in this challenging area.

-Isaac Dzimbiri teaching Shepherds Academy courses across Malawi and even remote parts of Mozambique, equipping pastors with sound doctrine.

-A Shepherds Academy graduate who stood firm like Athanasius — preaching through the Gospel of John against Arianism (false teaching that Jesus isn't fully God) and paying a price by being removed from his church. What courage for the truth!

-New theological scholarships in action: Isaac pursuing his MDiv online, and Solomon Nkhoma starting his bachelor's at Central Africa Baptist University. The next generation of faithful leaders is rising!

This is eternal work — changing lives, planting churches, and training shepherds in hard places.
