Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Paint Your Pet event at LTBHS! We had such a fun afternoon bringing beloved pets to life on canvas and spending time with some wonderful members of our community.

Tiny kittens. Big goal!

We're raising $3,200 this kitten season, and every dollar has a purpose:
🐱 A neonatal incubator that can help save the smallest, most vulnerable kittens in our care.
🐱 Six fully stocked kitten kits so foster families can immediately say "yes" when emergency litters need placement.
🐱 The supplies and support needed to give orphaned and neonatal kittens a fighting chance.

When a kitten's life depends on staying warm, getting fed every few hours, and receiving specialized care, having the right equipment on hand can make all the difference.

We're making progress, but we still have a ways to go!

Ever wanted a hiking buddy, coffee date companion, or beach day bestie for the day? 🐾

Our Snout ‘n About Field Trip Program gives shelter dogs the chance to get out and explore Northern Michigan with our volunteers! From scenic trails to downtown strolls and lakeside adventures, these outings help provide enrichment, exercise, and extra visibility to help dogs find forever homes faster.

Once you’re signed up as a volunteer, you can take eligible shelter dogs out on their very own Snout ‘n About adventure! And yes — we LOVE getting your photos afterward so we can share all the fun on social media. 📸❤️

She has been a familiar face through every chapter of this organization's story. A gentle hand for the animals who arrive frightened and unsure. A compassionate presence for the people who love them.
