Congratulations to Austin Matthews on catching his first Red Drum from the Assateague surf! It measured an impressive 43 inches. His dad, David Matthews , mentioned that he kept the skates away during the trip.

DMS members Shaun Smith and Jr Griffith caught a 44" and a 38" red drum today on the Delaware surf.

Here are the details from the catch:

- Location: 3R's surf fishing beach, Delaware
- Bait: Cob mullet and spot, heads/chunks
- Rig: Fish finder drum/striper rig 9/0 circle hook
- Wind: ENE 10–15 mph
- Tide: Incoming (low to high)
- Weather: Overcast then Rain

Shaun Smith caught and released this 44 inch red drum on an undisclosed Delaware beach this morning. Nice fish!

3rs crossover has reopened. All others still remain closed.

The 3R's drive-on crossing is now open.

All other drive-on crossings at Delaware Seashore State Park and Fenwick Island State Park are closed.
