Last night we held our annual Christmas gift pick-up at Camp Kiwanee. This is a special night for us because it represents the culmination of months of work and the community coming together to support families in need during the holidays.

Thanks to the generosity of those who adopted families, contributed financially, and purchased gifts from the Giving Tree we were able to make the season a little brighter for many Hanson families this year.

We are deeply grateful to our community partners including: Hanson Public Library, Hanson Police Department, JC Fast Dry Cleaners,Hanson Food Pantry, North Easton Savings, Hanson VCA, E Sheehan Corp, Heidi’s Hollow, Wyman’s, Home Depot, and many others whose partnership made this effort possible.

A special thank-you goes to the WHRHS Boys Basketball Team for taking the time to move all of the gifts to Camp Kiwanee, and to Camp Kiwanee and its staff for opening the lodge to us.

Last but certainly not least… a huge shout out to the Hanson Community Christmas Board who work tirelessly throughout the year to make sure this Christmas miracle happens every year!!!

🎄Hanson Community Christmas has a number of requests from Hanson families needing support for the holidays.

🎅We are in full gear and working on fulfilling the needs of those families but we can’t do this alone and we need your help. Most of our families have been adopted. But, we still have a lot of ornaments left on our Giving Trees.

✅If you are interested in helping out, please swing by the Library or JC Fast Dry Cleaners and pick an ornament from one of our Giving Trees. Once you shop for the items on the ornaments, you can drop the unwrapped presents at the Hanson Library , North Easton Savings or JC Fast Tailors in their donation box.

🎄🐾 Santa Paws Is Coming to Hanson! 🐾🎄
Join us for a simple, joyful fundraiser supporting Hanson Community Christmas, made possible by three local businesses that care about our town.

🎁 Hanson Community Christmas: Application & Giving Season Now Open! 🎄

We’ve officially opened our application window for Hanson families seeking support this holiday season. Working with the Senior Center we are also accepting applications from seniors in need. If you’d like to help make the holidays brighter, here are three meaningful ways to get involved:

1. Adopt a Family
📬 Inbox us to receive a wish list from one of our local families.
🛍️ Shop for your adopted family.
📦 Drop off unwrapped gifts at any of these donation sites:
• Hanson Public Library
• North Easton Savings
• JC Fast Tailors

2. Pick an Ornament from a Giving Tree

Join us for the St. Patrick’s Hanson Food Pantry Fundraiser on March 15th from 6 PM to 9 PM at Camp Kiwanee! Enjoy a festive evening filled with live entertainment, including Irish music and Irish step dancing. Savor a traditional boiled dinner, complete with dessert and coffee, catered by Catering Boss.

The event will also feature a silent auction and a raffle table, offering exciting opportunities to win great prizes. On behalf of Hanson Community Christmas, we want to thank everyone who supported us this year for your generosity and partnership.

On December 11th, we held the gift pick-up at Camp Kiwanee and were able to provide gifts, wrapping paper and stocking stuffers to over 200 individuals. The families receiving these gifts all expressed a tremendous gratitude to the community for their gifts.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Cozy Cottage, Housekeepers of MA, the Hanson Library and JC Fast Tailors and Dry Cleaners for hosting our drop boxes and Wyman’s Garden Center for their continued support.

We would also like to thank the staff at Camp Kiwanee for creating such a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere at the camp.

This year the Hanson Community Christmas has seen an increase in new families needing support for the holidays.

We are so grateful for those of you who have adopted families and those of you who have taken ornaments off of the Giving Trees and to those of you who have donated.

If you have not given yet this year and you would like to, we still have several ways to support our mission:

Or

Pluck an ornament off of one of our Giving Trees at Cozy Cottage, JC Fast Tailors and Dry Cleaners or the Hanson Public Library, purchase the item on the ornament and return your unwrapped purchase by December 10th to one of our drop off boxes located at Cozy Cottage, JC Fast Tailors and Dry Cleaners, Housekeepers of MA or the Hanson Public Library. We will take it from there and distribute to a Hanson family in need.
