The Sean Bowman Memorial Scholarship Fund Sean T Bowman Memorial Scholarship Sean Bowman was a man who believed in the act of kindness and helping others with a smile and generous heart.

Sean was the epitome of this throughout Sean’s life from a small child to young man. Friends, parents and his teachers would comment about his generosity of helping others with a smile and a special hug. Upon graduation he decided to serve his country and did so by joining the United States Coast Guard. He served his time well and honorably. When Sean's time was up, he found himself in a position

to support his family, including his two young daughters. And he did so well. Faith families and friends was how he lived his life. But Sean wanted more in life. In his years after graduating from Whitman -Hanson, he had time to view the world outside of our small communities. This is when Sean decided to pursue his true passion in life, art and architecture. Sean realized early in life that success is not determined about the money you earn; it is truly pursing your dreams and passion in life that matters most. Sean enrolled himself in an architectural program at Massasoit Community College in hopes of providing himself and his family a successful and happy life going forward. Sean was well on his way to graduating with honors and pursuing a Bachelors-to-Masters degree. While driving to class one Fall morning Oct. 15,2010, Sean’s life was tragically cut short. Sean believed that family was the single most important aspect of life and that finding one's true calling, one real passion- was going to provide true happiness in life was equally important.

Massasoit Community College established a scholarship in memory of Sean. The scholarship goes toward a graduating architect student who is pursuing a BS in the field of Architecture.
