Scouting America Troop 34 Hanson as of 1/1/26 Troop 34 is merging with Troop 39 Halifax this is a wonderful opportunity for both Troops we will be working as one Troop As Troop 39 Halifax/ Hanson and Monponsett. We are excited for this new venture.

Update to Scouts BSA joining requirements opens the door to more ...
To join Scouting America (Scouts BSA), youth must be at least 10, in 5th grade (or registered after March 1st), or have earned the Arrow of Light award, and be between ages 10 and 17; they need to accept values, apply online via beascout.scouting.org, pay fees, and join a local unit for activities and supplies like handbooks and uniforms.
General Requirements (for Scouts BSA Program)
Age & Grade: You can join if you are:
At least 10 years old and in 5th grade (registering on or after March 1st).
Have earned the Arrow of Light award (from Cub Scouts).
Age 11 but not yet 18.
Values: Accept Scouting's values, be helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, and respect different beliefs.
How to Join
Find a Unit: Use the BeAScout website to find a local troop (Scouts BSA) or pack (Cub Scouts) near you by entering your zip code.
Apply: Create an account on my.Scouting.org and complete the application.
Pay Fees: Pay the annual membership fee (around $85 for youth), plus any local council or unit fees for activities and supplies.
Get Supplies: Your unit leader will tell you about needed supplies, including the Scout Handbook and uniform.
