Congratulations to our town historian, Allan Clemons, on the standing-room-only launch of his new book, Tales of Old Hanson, last evening!

With family ties to Hanson dating back generations, he had the crowd roaring with laughter as he recounted a lifetime of inside stories and forgotten facts that can be found within the pages of his new work.

Tomorrow’s meeting of the Hanson Historical Society will differ slightly from our standard format.

Following brief Society business and updates, representatives from the Hanson Public Library Building Committee will give a public informational presentation regarding the proposed new Hanson Public Library project, which is on the ballot for the Town Election on Saturday, May 16. A public Q&A session will follow.

The evening will conclude with a short documentary presentation related to America250.

As a charitable organization, the Hanson Historical Society does not endorse or oppose ballot questions, political parties, or candidates for office. This presentation is being hosted solely as a community informational forum in keeping with our educational and civic engagement mission.

Meeting begins at 7:00PM at District 7 Schoolhouse, 565 Main Street in South Hanson.
