That’s a wrap on the 2026 Leadership Summer Sprint! 🎉

Our final session took place on Wednesday, August 5 in beautiful New Ulm, and it was the perfect way to close out an incredible summer of growth and connection.

Here is a quick look at how our cohort spent their final day together:

Morning Workshop: We kicked off the morning at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center. After handing out program certificates, our Leadership Educator, Rachael Evers, led a powerful session titled "The Energy YOU Bring," featuring an interactive "Energy & Power Board" workshop.

Behind-the-Scenes Tours: We got an exclusive, inside look during our Law Enforcement Center Tour lead by our own Brown County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota!

Later in the afternoon, we explored local history with a Pioneer Section Cemetery Tour, followed by a Downtown Walking Tour provided by the Brown County Historical Society MN!

Local Eats & Connections: We kept our energy up with delicious boxed lunches from Gutes Essen Deli & Catering and officially celebrated the end of the Sprint with a fantastic social hour Sweet Haven Tonics.

A massive thank you to all the emerging and established leaders who joined us this summer, and to the local New Ulm organizations that hosted us.

We loved seeing the connections made and the leadership skills built across Brown County!

We even had an impromptu tour at 6 East!

The Final Sprint: Next Stop, New Ulm! The momentum hasn't stopped, and we are heading to New Ulm for our final session on Wednesday, August 5!

• This session is titled "The Energy YOU Bring".
• We will be exploring how leadership energy influences trust, engagement, and culture.
• Participants will create interactive "Energy & Power Boards" to visualize the intentional energy they want to carry into their work.

Our April session took us back to the Sleepy Eye area for a fantastic day focused on "Developing Future Leaders"!

We started the morning with refreshments provided by Bridging Brown County at the Brown County REA, followed by a warm welcome and tour from Member Services Manager Laura Fischer. Our Leadership Program Educator, Rachael Evers, then led a highly engaging morning educational session.

For lunch, we headed over to Morgan, where Farmward Cooperative generously sponsored our meal and we heard from speakers Alex Busch and Dennis Schreier. The afternoon was packed with wonderful community tours, taking us to the Sleepy Eye Medical Center, Dyckman Free Library , and the Sleepy Eye Baseball Association. We wrapped up an excellent day with a tour and social hour at The Farmhaus.

Thank you to all our speakers, sponsors, and hosts for helping us strengthen the Brown County community by bridging relationships of understanding and communication!
