“Healing doesn’t always begin with words. Sometimes, it begins with a horse.” 🐴

Local veterans - October 7th Operation Second Chance and Heroes Ridge will begin another 6-week Equine Therapy Program for wounded, injured, and ill veterans.

Through guided interactions with horses, participants will explore trust, emotional regulation, communication, resilience, and healing in a safe, supportive environment. Horses have a remarkable way of helping us slow down, become present, and reconnect—with ourselves and with others.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this experience, we encourage you to learn more and apply.

Over a year ago, we began testing external carriers as an alternative to the traditional duty belt. Our goal was simple but important: reduce the weight and strain placed on our officers’ waists and hips during long shifts. This initiative was driven by a commitment to improving officer safety, comfort, and overall well-being while helping lower the risk of injury. We are proud to announce that this project is now complete. This accomplishment would not have been possible without the generous support of our community partners.
