For anyone who hasnt already been informed via family or the internet dad has been having heart and kidney problems for awhile. He is currently on dialysis and will need a kidney transplant. As of now he is pulling through, living each day as it comes. However, with transplantation comes all the extra expenses in addition to his new meds from the liver issues. We have recently had an anonymous donor make an offer to match what we raise in donations from now until July 31st up to $1000. So anything that is donated will be doubled. Any amount will help. We realize this is much different from the fundraisers we've done in the past in that nothing is received for donating, but please know it is greatly appreciated. This is a hard time for dad and our family and any prayers or donations, or other kinds support is very helpful. Thank you and God bless ❤

So with a heavy heart I regret to have to officially inform everyone that dad will be in need of a new kidney. There may be more complications to come and we will do our best to keep everyone up to date, but this is the start of a new journey that I'm sure will come with many ups and downs. The last one was difficult, and nobody knows what the future has in store, but please keep him and my mother in your thoughts and prayers. They sure need it right now.

Don was at Jefferson University Hospital on Wednesday, September 3rd for a clinic appointment. His doctors were happy to report that although it can't be made official until after 90 days that his treatment has been a success and the are no signs of the HC virus present. The official determination at the end of 90 days should come arround the end of October. This comes as great news since over the last few month the medicines he was taking were playing havoc with his blood counts and his kidney function. It's been a climb but THANK GOD for his healling and his doctors and everyone for your prayers and support

Just an update!
Dad had to go to the hospital last weekend due to his medication messing with his blood levels and some kidney problems. After a blood transfusion, completely taking him off his meds, and waiting for about a week he is feeling much better and has finally returned home. They have started him back on his medication and we're hoping for the best. As always, all of us appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and support
