First group of 2025 heifers getting bred tonight!

Running all the heifers through the chute today was a family affair. Thankfully it was nice enough weather for February 2nd.

Wyatt, at age 14 (almost 15), is becoming really good help even if there is some butting heads to get him there.

Cyrus, age 10, did a good job watching over us all from up on a bale 🙂

Bryce continues to work his tail off every day taking care of the 204 heifers here plus our own cows and steers.

I can see it’s been about a year since we have posted anything on this page! Shame on us!

We have been busy keeping up with the farm and the kids!

We had a good year with heifers and are gearing up for another group to come over the next few months. We are undecided if we are going to try to do an actual “intake day” or not. It seems like it is hard to get a lot of cattle at once because fall is so busy for everyone and schedules don’t always allow for it. But we are starting to take 2024/2025 heifers starting next weekend!

Please reach out to Bryce, if you haven’t already, to coordinate 🙂 I promise, if I’m able, I’ll still feed you whenever you come!

Our first group of heifers came last week from southern Iowa!
