Celebrate 150 Years of Tom Sawyer!
This week marks the 150th anniversary of Mark Twain's beloved classic, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, first published on June 9, 1876. To celebrate this milestone, the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum is offering FREE admission to all visitors June 8–12!
Explore the museum's 8-building campus, discover the story of how a young boy from Hannibal became one of America's most influential authors, and enjoy special events throughout the week, including:
Tom & Becky Birthday Party – June 9
Music Under the Stars & Special Attraction Unveiling – June 11
Admission is free, and tickets are valid for two days, giving you plenty of time to experience everything the museum has to offer. No reservations are required.
Whether you're a lifelong Hannibal resident or visiting Mark Twain's hometown for the first time, this is a great opportunity to celebrate a piece of American history right here in our community.
