I had to stop and look straight up for this one. The dome from the inside is something else, layered details, soft colors, and that stained glass center tying it all together. 🔍 The architecture and how the Hannibal courthouse was constructed 125 years ago just amazes me.

It was an honor to name Benson Financial Group as our Business of the Year at Thursday's Annual Meeting.

Benson Financial has long been a cornerstone in support for United Way, embodying what it means to be a true community partner. Their commitment runs deep, with a consistent presence on the United Way Board of Directors through employee leadership and engagement over the years.

That leadership has extended to campaign efforts as well. Founder Pat Benson served as United Way Campaign Chair in 2006, setting a strong example of service and philanthropy. In 2019, Justin Gibson of Benson Financial chaired the “Give Hope” Campaign, and most recently, Jeriod Turner led the “I Am United Way” Campaign—continuing a legacy of encouraging giving locally.

The generosity of Benson Financial has been instrumental in bringing the work of United Way to life. Time and again, their team shows up—offering their time, talents, and financial support to strengthen our community. Whether serving on committees, participating in events, or helping guide strategic efforts, their involvement in United Way has made a lasting impact.

As Benson Financial celebrates 30 years, we recognize not only their business success, but the strong foundation of community investment they have built along the way. United Way is stronger because of Benson Financial. We know many of our partner agencies are, too. We are thankful for the great support of the Benson Financial team in helping make the mission of our organization come to life within the community.

On this day, 125 years ago, the cornerstone was laid for our historic building. The building would then open on February 15, 1902. We are proud to continue to serve our community. We would love to celebrate this day by reading your favorite Hannibal Free Public Library memories in the comments. Big dreams are brewing at Main Street Social House… and this one is extra sweet 🩷🥤

Introducing Main Street Sips — our very own dirty soda shop that will soon be part of the big beautiful space we’re creating downtown!

One thing that has always mattered to us is building something bigger than just a business. We want this place to create opportunities, memories, and experiences for our family and community. Our kiddos have shown interest in becoming little entrepreneurs, so we figured… what better way to learn than by giving them a hands-on role inside the space we’ve poured our hearts into building?

From fun soda creations to customer service and learning what it takes to run something of their own, Main Street Sips is going to be a sweet little addition to Main Street Social House. Expected to open the end of May!

Now we need your help 👇
What’s your FAVORITE dirty soda combo?! Drop it in the comments — you just might inspire something that ends up on the menu 👀🥤

Ants are marching into Missouri kitchens again! 🐜 Carpenter ants and pavement ants are super active this time of year. We don’t just spray what you see — we eliminate the colony so they stay gone. We’ve got your back! ✅
