Friends of Historic Hannibal

Friends of Historic Hannibal The Friends of Historic Hannibal celebrate historic architecture and those whose efforts bring new life to old buildings.

FOHH is also active in the community, tackling restoration projects such as Old Baptist Cemetery and the Molly Brown Birthplace. FOHH was created twenty years ago by newcomers to the downtown “historic” residential and commercial area of Hannibal; some founding members were new to Hannibal and some had grown up in Hannibal, moved away, and were returning. These newcomers were buying historic house

s and buildings in the downtown area and renovating them for their own use. They shared their experiences of living in the historic area and restoring the buildings, including restoration tips, sources of materials, and contractors. Currently, FOHH meets once a month, each time at a different location (usually a member's home). Refreshments are served and a tour is given by the owner of the building which includes information about the history and the renovation. We welcome all who love history and architecture and encourage you to join in the fellowship of like-minded Hannibalians.
