🎃‼️It’s almost that time of the year again! Who is ready for the thrills of the Hannibal Jaycees Warehouse of Nightmares? ‼️🎃

We are inviting whoever would like act this year to our actor sign ups this Saturday August 22nd from 11-2! If you’re unable to make it we will announce another one closer to opening night.

We want to remind everyone that this is a voluntary event, no one gets paid to do this or put this on. Also if you’re under the age of 18 a parent or guardian has to be in attendance with you to sign up, when the season starts another under the age of 16 has to have a parent or guardian in attendance with them the whole evening to act in the Haunted House.

We are so excited to finally announce this!! Even more excited to be partnering up with the Y Men’s club to put this event on for our community!!

The rumors are true!! We are partnering with the Hannibal Jaycees and having our very own Oktoberfest!! More details to come, but plan on being there!!! October 3rd and 4th !!

❤️ Giving Back Through Tradition ❤️

One of the most meaningful traditions of the National Tom Sawyer Days Parade isn’t just the floats, the bands, or the thousands of smiling faces lining Main Street—it’s the opportunity to give back.

Each year, proceeds from the parade are donated to the St. Jude Run to Peoria, helping support the incredible mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year, we are proud to present a donation of $1,100.

For generations, the Hannibal Jaycees have been committed to serving our community while supporting a cause that impacts families across the country. It is an honor to continue this tradition and play a small part in helping ensure that no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the parade, our sponsors, volunteers, participants, and supporters. Your involvement makes donations like this possible, and together we’re making a difference.

As another incredible National Tom Sawyer Days comes to a close, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the hundreds of volunteers who give their time, talents, and hearts to make the Fourth of July so special in America’s Hometown.

From planning for months behind the scenes, setting up, coordinating events, directing traffic, judging contests, cleaning up, and everything in between—these events simply would not happen without volunteers.

A special thank you to the Hannibal Police Department, Hannibal Fire Department, Marion County Ambulance District, Marion County Sheriff’s Department, and NECOM 911 for working tirelessly to keep our community and visitors safe throughout the celebration. Also thank you to the Hannibal Street Dept & Board of Public works! Your dedication, professionalism, and service never go unnoticed.

🎤✨ What an incredible evening of talent we had this week!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this year’s National Tom Sawyer Days Talent Show. We were blown away by the incredible performers who took the stage and shared their talents with our community. From singing and dancing to instrumental performances, the future is certainly bright!

As we wrap up another incredible National Tom Sawyer Days Parade, we want to take a moment to thank the many people who helped make it a success.

A huge thank you to the Hannibal Police Department for keeping everyone safe and helping the parade move smoothly from start to finish. Your professionalism and support are appreciated more than you know.

To our amazing volunteers—you spent hours in the summer heat directing traffic, organizing participants, answering questions, and making sure everything stayed on schedule. Events like this simply would not happen without you. Thank you for giving your time to our community.

Thank you to the Hannibal Street Department for setting up road closures, assisting with barricades, and having the street sweeper ready to clean up afterward. Your behind-the-scenes work makes a tremendous difference.

To everyone who came out to enjoy the parade—THANK YOU! Seeing the streets lined with families reminds us why we continue this tradition year after year.

We especially appreciate how many spectators helped keep the parade route safe by staying out of the roadway. We know it’s hard for little ones to resist chasing candy, but everyone did a fantastic job, and it made for one of the safest parades we’ve had in years.

This year we also tried something different by bringing the parade down Main Street. We’d love to hear from you! Did you enjoy the new route? Is it something you’d like to see continue, or would you rather see us return to the previous route?
