Best. Staff. EVER!!!!! The staff at Skills Development surprised Lisa with brunch for Boss’s Day! It smelled wonderful, it tasted delicious, and it looked awesome! There are balloons tied to my chair and I was also presented with a heartfelt card. Then, on top of everything else, Bonnie from Griffen’s Flowers, delivered a beautiful arrangement of fall flowers from all the staff. They really know how to make a girl feel special. I am humbled by their generosity, kindness, and love.

We are always so proud of the work our guys and gals put into their art show projects! Each person enters at least 2 pieces of their artwork in the show. This year many of them won plaques, and nominations as well as their honorable mentions. They truly enjoy participating every year. 😊 A shout out to the DSPs, Assistant Directors, and our Director who help make it all possible for these talented folks! This year Skills Development, Inc. Won the ABOVE AND BEYOND award. 😊

The Hannibal AreaAktion Club, sponsored by the Evening Kiwanis recently had a meat bundle Raffle to raise money. They purchased the New Harvest House some much needed items for their kitchen. They also donated money to Skills Development in Hannibal, so that the individuals who attend could go buy items to put in their Blessing Box. The picture is Aktion Club member Denny presenting the check to Lisa from Skills. Thanks to everyone who bought the Raffle tickets. Our winner was Gina from Hannibal.

Life skills promote independence, and cooking is a great life skill. These guys and gals enjoyed learning how to make their own oatmeal. Yummy!

Shout out to the Marion County Ambulance District and Lampton Electric for supporting the kids in our community!! These young entrepreneurs are selling pink lemonade for the low, low price of $1. It’s delicious, and we highly recommend stopping by for a refreshing beverage. They are at Griffin’s Flowers on St, Mary’s Ave

EMPLOYEE SHOUTOUTS! We're going to start with our phenomenal intern, Kaylee. We have been so fortunate to have her as a member of our team this year. Kaylee is a dedicated worker, and a kind soul with a big heart. It's no wonder that she is majoring in Cardiac Sonography at Concorde. She's a big St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and cheers for the Green Bay Packers during football season. Thank you Kaylee for all that you do! We appreciate you!
