Recently a 1976 time capsule was opened in Hanford and along with many amazing items, recordings and documents, there was a 1976 Miss Kings County pageant program book included featuring Erin Ormonde, Miss Kings County 1976.
Today our Miss Kings County 2026 Jillian Rogers, Miss Kings County’s Teen 2026 Kaylee King, and Miss Kings County’s Teen 2025 Bailey Quintero had the incredible opportunity to tour the Hanford Carnegie Museum to view the contents of the capsule and submit our Miss Kings County 2026 program book and 2026 titleholder’s pictures for inclusion in the next capsule that will be opened 50 years from now. To say it was a moving and emotional experience is an understatement. Jill, Kaylee and Bailey were extremely honored and humbled by today’s visit. We are beyond proud that our Miss Kings County Organization is still alive and well today and we hope it will continue to enhance the lives of deserving young women pursuing higher education for many years to come. Bailey, Jill and Kaylee are part of the legacy.
Thank you to Rob and Lois Bentley for the hospitality shown today, and the never ending love, devotion and dedication they have invested in preserving our magnificent history showcased in the Carnegie Museum. Today was extra special!

Great article about our Miss Kings County 1976 Erin Ormonde and the program book recently unveiled from a 50 year time capsule! Extremely proud that the Miss Kings County Organization continues today and we are still providing scholarships for deserving young women to pursue their higher education and build life changing skills. Erin was a great Miss Kings County and extremely successful in all she endeavored.
Thank you Hanford Sentinel for your coverage of the Time Capsule review and our beloved Miss Kings County Organization.

Erin Ormonde is still remembered for the title she won 50 years ago.

As I begin my 32nd year as a volunteer in the Miss America Opportunity I am extremely proud of all the young ladies I’ve had the pleasure to work with. To see them continue their education and accomplish goals they never thought possible is the most rewarding feeling ever. They have certainly impacted my life over the years.
Received my 30 year pin at Miss CA last week. It is beautiful!
Gotta get busy, lots of work to continue….
