Great meeting this week. Jack did a great job running our meeting, nerves and all. Thank you Jack. I think having different members take responsibility for running a meeting, leads to excellent leadership skills and confidence. I think this is something I might continue next year. Jesus Garcia provided a wonderful presentation about this year’s trip to Guatemala where they did health checks, provided vitamins to children and adults and provided and fit children with wheelchairs.

Two great FFA Leaders presented with a donation from the Rotary Club of Hanford Sunset. They were both articulate and provided great information to the club at our last meeting. Who knew the Hanford FFA HAS 1100 members and is the largest group in the US, winning the most consecutive awards. Congrats to FFA and the Hanford Joint Union High School District.

It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to our Rotary President Linda Huddleston Mackey. She was a lovely woman with an underlying spirit of adventure. She traveled worldwide with her husband and family. She loved her family and her friends deeply. Linda knew how to keep going and not let a little setback keep her down. If she fell, even when she fractured her back, she got back up and kept going. The Rotary Club of Hanford Sunset misses you and your wonderful spirit. We send our condolences to her husband Bruce Mackey and her family and friends. She is missed. 💕💕
