2026 National Crime Victims' Rights Quilt Display 🕊️

We invite you to view the National Crime Victims' Rights Quilt in the District Attorney's Office Lobby from Thursday, April 23 through Monday, April 27.

This powerful display honors and remembers those affected by crime in our community. Booklets will be available for loved ones during the viewing.

KINGS COUNTY CRIME VICTIM’S RIGHTS WEEK

On April 14, 2026, the Kings County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution proclaiming April 19-25, 2026, as Crime Victim’s Rights Week.

Crime has a serious impact on individuals, families, and communities. It is crucial to ensure that victims are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect as they interact with the criminal justice system. Kings County District Attorney Victim Witness Program is joining forces with victim service programs, criminal justice officials, and concerned citizens throughout Kings County to raise awareness of victims’ rights and observe Crime Victim’s Rights Week. This resolution affirms the rights of crime victims, building hope for communities.

We will gather for a Candlelight Vigil & Quilt Unveiling to honor the lives of homicide victims and stand in solidarity with the families they leave behind.
