California Climate Action Corps is recruiting NOW!

We are looking for passionate Californians (18+) who want to serve as California Climate Action Corps fellows for 11 months, leading climate action and volunteer engagement projects across the state. Fellows focus on urban greening, organic waste and edible
food recovery and wildfire resiliency—especially in underserved regions throughout California.

California Climate Action Corps fellows earn up to $45,550 in living stipend, training support and money for school upon successful completion of
1,700 hours of service between September 21, 2026, and August 13, 2027.
Applications will open on May 1, 2026, and be accepted until July 31, 2026.

Semi-official Kings County election results are in!

Check out the graphics for the latest semi-official results from local races and measures. Please note that the Kings County Board of Supervisors District 3 and District 4 races are not included, as both were uncontested and therefore Rusty Robinson and Doug Verboon remain the elected supervisors for those districts.

These results are unofficial until all valid ballots are counted and they are certified by Kings County Registrar of Voters Lupe Villa on July 2, 2026.

Today is Election Day!

Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

So far, only 14% of ballots in Kings County have been returned, meaning more than 51,000 ballots are still out there waiting to be counted.

Young voters are especially missing from the conversation. Only 5% of voters ages 18–34 and 8% of voters ages 35–49 have returned their ballots so far.

If your ballot is still sitting on the table, now is the time. Fill it out, drop it off at a vote center or official ballot drop box, or vote in person today.

The decisions made in this election will impact our families, neighborhoods, schools, and future. Make sure your voice is part of it.

Vote today. Bring a friend. Remind a neighbor. Let’s show up for our community. 🗳️
